Any auto supply can help you determine the size if you call or take to them so they can see the number. It will be located either on a small plate at the base of the windshied, or on the data plate on the driver side door.

The serial number will contain a digit that will indicate the motor that was installed in the vehicle when it was manufactured. Otherwise there should be a decal on the radiator top support that will declare the motor size.

There is usually a sticker under the hood or near the radiator with this info on it. May be a little hard to understand. The sticker may be worn off on an older car. This sticker should also cover timing specs, idle rpm and basic info like that. Or you can buy a repair manual at a parts store (usually around $20) and it will break down the VIN number on top of the dash board.
