Pedephiles will use any excuse they can get!
You could just as easily ask "Is the teaching field just an excuse to coerce children into sex?" or even fatherhood.
But is just as unfair to blame all of Christianity for the pediohiles hiding in their midst, as to blame all teachers or all fathers.
& HEY What's wrong with you guys saying "What's wrong with you" as an answer to someone telling you they were molested as a child! Even if he's full of BS, it's still a callous reply! There are victims of child molestation out there reading this.

Um...maybe you shouldn't be asking people on this website. Maybe you need to dial 911 or something. If a priest touches you then I would like go to the police or something. And Christanity dosen't coerce children into sex. It's not like the front of the bible says " Older men, come and touch little children. Have sex with them." You are so crazy...lol.... Just don't think that....Christianity is a religion, not a predators group...

No, it definitely is not. Whenever a person, especially a church official or member, sexually abuses another (adult or child); they are not behaving in a christian manner. Not only does this cause the abused person to have personal problems, but it seperates them from their faith. The abusers will answer for their sins, most especially those church leaders that have done so. There are no excuses to coerce a child to have any kind of sexual relationship with anyone. What yanks my chain is the fact that it has been covered up for so long. That action makes those in league with the coverup as guilty as the abusers. I am sorry that this horrible thing has happened to you. Please ask someone you trust (if you can still trust) to help you with this and please don't give up on God. He loves you very much and did not do this to you. It was someone that was pretending to love God in order to behave horrendously! I'll be praying for you.

I think everyone who answered that catholisim isnt chritians, then your all dumb asses, anyone who believe Jesus is there lord and Savior, and believe he rose from the dead are Christians, but its funny how we tend to seperate the two as different faiths, there just read thing differently then other christians.
Also I like how your Avatar looks as though he's been touched by his priest

That's hilarious. Even if you did get touched by a priest. I am not one of the whinny Christians that seem to live on this site obviously but please never ask such an unnecessary question again.

NO it's not at all, and if you are being serious about your priest touching you then you need to tell your parents, or the police better yet. Chrisitanity is not about abusing boys with sex, it's about God and him sending his son to die on the Cross to die for our sins so that we might live more abundantly. If you need any other advice, please feel free to e-mail or message me. I check my e-mail daily.

No, it is just convenient when you see someone often as you would in church. I once read that child abusers were most prominent among preachers or teachers.
