Since it sounds like you like fantasy, I strongly recommend The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. There are currently 10-11 books and he is working on the last right now. It is a long series, so it will keep you busy for a while. I have read all of them and my 14 year old son is just starting, he has read book 1 and loved it. It is a great fantasy series!

A Wizard of Earthsea trilogy by Ursula LeGuin.

It's fantasy and has a wizard school like Harry Potter, but it's darker and more psychological.

Also the Narnia books - magical. And J.R.R. Tolkien's novels, short stories and poems.

If you like fantasy, I really recommend reading some non-fiction books on the subject, like "The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter" by David Colbert. The more you learn, the more you enjoy.
