some people say : oh i can her and him and such, but the rest of voices just blend in, are you suppose to be able to recognize some voices?

yeah i have been in chours since i was in 8th grade and im a 12th grade student this year you will always here a few voices but to the audicance it wont stand out!

no cause a choir is suppose to be everyone and not just one person cause those around that person can either get thrown off if that person is sing the wrong notes is simply over powering the choir all together and that isn't good it make the choir have the sound of individuals and not one group of people like its suppose to if u can recognizes some vpeople thats good cause that means their sing the right note or on pitch and it sounds goods

Only if a person has a solo should you ever really be able to recognize one person over the other.. the most beautiful choirs are ones that they all sound like one voice ...

I always found there will be those voices that stand out, generall one from each section. Its all about that personal ability to project their voice. In all reality it should harmonize perfectly.

no, a choir is meant to be ONE voice, not a bunch of iditiots demanding attention, especailly if they can't sing.
