I was born in KY and have lived there all but 2 years of my life. (I lived in TX when I was 8-10 years old.) I love Kentucky. It's a very pretty state, full of a lot of friendly people. Kentucky gets a lot of critizim as being full of inbreeders, but that is entirely not true. These rumours come from people who live in the Appilachian mountain region of Eastern Kentucky. The people there have a very thick accent, and lower education, but in no way do I mean that in an insult toward them. With most the towns in that area being located in the upper regions of the mountains, it is almost impossible to get good business and well educated teachers to move to these towns. I've gone on several mission projects with churches in that area and I'm amazed at still how happy all of those people are.

haha, I guess what I'm trying to say, is Kentucky is a pretty cool place. Go WildCats : )

Born and raised here in the beautiful Bluegrass hills of eastern Kentucky, home of Morehead State University. I left Morehead and went to Chicago for 15 years of hellish congestion, people living on top of people like canned sardines. I was SO happy to get back home where they is grass, trees, horses, etc.!

I used to live in Louisville....I truly love the state of Kentucky, there is just so much to do. Ya'll actually have seasons; here is West Texas, we only have two seasons hot that leads to hotter/drier and cool that lead to colder....no real changes.

Enjoy your state......I know I did.

I live in England, the only Kentucky I'm familiar with is the fried chicken one, and that's ok.

Don't live there, but did go there a few years back on business. The areas I saw were beautiful.

Like every state, I am sure there are great spots and some not so great.

What do you think of your state?

I live in Lawrenceburg, and it sucks! I've also lived in three other KY towns; two of them sucked, and the only one I somewhat liked was Highland Heights in northern Kentucky. Too many rude rednecks live in KY! I can't wait to get to Texas!
