As Harry Truman believed "The Buck Stops Here." The buck stops with the president. He's in charge and he is responsible.

Even Bush had questions about the bad intelligence he recieved but went with it anyway. He's in charge and could have went with the concensus of the intelligence community and held back until further eveidence was attained. When he went with evidence that even he had questions about he not only lied before congress but also showed his incompetence for the job and as such deserves to be removed

Absolutely. Especially when you consider this was the exact reason Clinton was impeached. Remember? He was accused of lieing during a congressional hearing when he declared he hadn't had sexual relations... he, like a lot of men, doesn't consider a bj as sex.

So, if the republicans impeached Clinton based on that lie, and it is very debateable that it was a lie, why are they not impeaching Bush now?

Excellent question.

If you are asking was Bush wrong about going to war with Iraq. Yes, I will agree with you completely. Should he be impeached? His actions were on the shady side and perhaps an impeachment trial is warranted, but I can't say I know enough to say whether he truly, blatantly lied and should be removed from office.

Good thing we have term limits, eh?

I just hope nothing happens to the poor bastard and Cheney takes over.

A lie is an intentionally false statement. To lie is to say something one believes to be false with the intention it be taken for truth.

BeachBum - Clinton was impeached for lying to a Grand Jury (illegal) not congress. Get your facts straight before you start spewing your crap.

You would have to Impeach the entire Bush regime at the same time to do any good. Just impeaching Bush is like cutting the head off a snake that has it's brain in it's butt.

If you are curious, and not just another jackass troll, you need to look up the law governing impeachment. That would be better than asking a bunch of partisan strangers who don't even know the requirements for election to the Presidency.

What Lie? All you have is some hearsay that says he told someone to exclude the negative evidence. You need proof. Like a blue dress with a stain.

I think they should impeach both Bush and Cheney. They should have stayed in Afghanistan where he had all of America behind them! Trying to impose a "free" government over people that have had thousands of years to do themselves is stupid.

I voted for Bush but the war is about the control of the worlds richest oil supply. We can't get him out cause the Democrats want the oil too
