Judging by your previous posts, I take it that you're an England fan. Instead of doing the easy thing (blaming the referee) why don't you find some balls and admit that your team lost in a fair match. If you really want to blame someone, blame Rooney, or Lampard, or J. Cole.
Lampard- Even though he took 24 shots, he managed to land 11 on frame and none in the back of the net.
Rooney- Mr. Cheat A Lot here decided that he was MAD! And when he's mad, he likes to go step on people's balls. Oops! By committing that dumb foul, he probably cost England the match.
J. Cole- Misses the freakin net 12 yards away.
If you feel that you dont want to blame either of these three people (or anyone else who had a poor game for England) at least blame the other side! No need to blame the referee. Just say, "If stupid Ricardo wasn't so darn good..."
So please before posting any more questions that challenge the moral or mental capacity of the Argentinian Referee, look at the replays, take a deep breath, and say, "I will stop b*tching and moaning about this, because whatever I do or say will not affect the outcome that has already happened."

That was a rather odd question. England played extraordinarily well once Rooney was sent off, not only holding Portugal, but created a fair few genuinely worrying moments for the Portuguese. But, Portugal are an excellent side when they get going, and face it, would have been more likely to play beautiful football in later games than England. PLUS, England (had they won the shoot-out) would be without Beckham, Rooney, Terry, Owen, and effectively Walcott as he is still a foetus. Did you notice how France destroyed another side that came into this tournament with far too much hype? England would have probably lost against France with the momentum they've now built up, which would have been much, much worse... Oh, and then England would have had to play an utterly meaningless 3rd place play-off. Nope, I'm just fine and dandy with a gallant but ultimately deserved defeat, now that I've gotten over it.

I agree with Matt
Looking for any excuse.
Next you'll be telling us that Rooney didn't stamp on Carvalho's crown jewels or push Ronaldo after it.
P.S. I feckin hate that Ronaldo he's been cheatin and diving for Man Utd since he joined thim
But the Utd fans didn't complain then. Did They ?
I didn't hear the England fans call Big Crouch a Cheat when he pulled Brent Sancho (T&T) by the dreads when he scored England's 1st against them
Or (I take it your a Liverpool Fan) Steven Gerrard diving in the box v Hungary to win a penalty for England in a WC warm up game. No cheat calls then, or saying he should never play again
DOUBLE STANDARDS

Let us get down to the facts, shall we?
When are you British people going to realize that Britain no longer "rules the waves"??? That you are not the Center of the World anymore???
I know that most of you still miss the Empire, but Portugal has 900 years of History (Yes, Portugal is the most ancient border defined country in Europe!) and the Portuguese had a far larger Empire in the 16th Century! Nevertheless, they stopped missing it a long time ago. So, perhaps you should learn something from that...?
Yes, like Bob Dylan says, "The times, they are (still) a-changing"!

He didn't. It's really quite simple when you take a good, hard look at your team's performance. The Portuguese got two yellow cards (same as England) and 10 fouls in your favor, and you went to PKs, so the ref didn't just give the game to Portugal (for a real cheating by ref, see Italy-Australia!). Your goalie gave them the penalty kicks.

i dont think so... but for me England players have done a very good job even they didnt win the game. with only 10 players they can play very well for 120 minutes and the portugal players couldn't score any goal... and for the penalty, it is the fate that Portugal won it.. of course the England players did cry, it is very dissappointed to go to quarterfinal but cannot go to semifinal... England fans should proud of them....
