internet protocal television(cable, or regular tv over the internet, without any hook up), and Voip(voice over internet protocal, or phone over the internet), what do you think about them? what do you think will be the furture of them? How will they will affect us? what do you think will be the next thing that will be internet based(I personally have a hunch that computers themselves will be over the internet, meaning the storage, and software will be deliverd to your monitor via the internet, without wasting desktop space with the towers, and finger print protected)?

Do a wikipedia search for more info.

Well IPTV hasn't arrived in the UK yet, but will do towards the end of 2006, so I can't really comment on that.

However, VoIP is already here, with Skype and Vonage having a UK presence. In fact, VoIP is very popular over here, and quite a few people know about it now.

However, I think all the companies should agree to one standard, so a Skype user could call a user of another service (e.g. Project Gizmo, Vonage, etc)
