i dont know. why do guys say dude all the time? its probabaly because the media inflicts sterotypes on everyone without them even knowing. all your life you pick up sayings and catch phrases from tv and the radio advertisements and shows, thast just happens to be somthing 'generic' the media pushes out towards the public

You may have did something to impress them. I personally think sometimes guys do things purposely for a girl to tell them that. You can tell when the guy does it and it's genuine.
