There is an argument going on that Intel is better, AMD is better, etc.
Intel is certainly more popular with their Pentium IV. CPU's I have had both and they are both good to me. AMD is usually cheaper, but it is certainly not inferior to Intel. I have a Celeron chip in my computer, and it is working just fine.
To each his own. You could check out CPU's in Consumer Reports and read articles in computer magazines. In my humble opinion, mostly all companies make a good chip and even use the same technologies.

I only use AMD just built a computer with an AMD dual core and a Asus motherboard. Fantastic! Check out newegg.com.

if its pc,, i prefer amd,, but i love the pure horsepower and torque of the IBM G5 Power PC processor for macs
