anyone make sweatshirts? im not much of a sewing-whiz...can anyone offer advice??

i saw something similar to this and i wanted to do something else. i want a like hot pink sweatshirt thats reversible with navy blue on the inside. on the pink outside, i wanna put a San Diego artwork on it with the letters being from a picture of a sunset and on the inside, if i reversed it, it would be navy blue with just pink cursive style writing that just says san diego.

Making sweatshirts from scratch doesn't make any sense economically since they are so cheap to buy plain. Are you asking how to embellish a sweatshirt? If so there are lots of ways to do it. Take a look at these web sites for ideas:

Use iron on transfers its much easier, you can get the paper from most stationary stores then all you need is an image and a decent printer. Oh yeah and an iron!

I say find a local shop that does monograms or other custom work. Most places can work with you if you're looking for something specific or they'll have good ideas if you don't know exactly what you want.

go to a tailor and have some done for you also you can find out a local factory that makes them and offer the design if you want more people to use your creation ... who knows maybe yours are the next Gucci

Umm the best advice I could give you would be to get it pro. done (it depends on what you are looking for)
or you could get iron on words at like a craft store and iron on whatever you want on there.

make it through a company online... many photo sites will imprint pictures and graphics on tons of stuff... tshirts, sweatshirts, you name it!

at toys r us they have a sewing machine with book and shows how to do it all ask a clerk.
