I can't send e-mail. I have done all I can think of. I have high speed cable internet, yet it takes a long time to process the e-mail AND it doesnt even send it! Other than that, everything else works fine. What can I do!!!

Yahoo! alternates mail servers throughout the day, to prevent a heavy load on one for a long period of time. It may be slower because you are being redirected to another server. So just wait a couple of hours before they bring that particular server on, and it will most likely increase your mail sending capabilites.

How do you access your email? If you use Outlook Express then I say forget this dated tool and go directly to the Yahoo server!

But you might need some general maintenance on your PC too.
Locate drive C: and right-click then select properties - tools - and under the error-checking heading click Check Now button.
Then put a tick in both checkboxes and click Start and then YES to the message that appears.
Restart Windows and be patient while your drive is checked and repaired.
Next, do this:
If you have an XP installation CD, insert into drive, if not, borrow one. If window appears to ask you to begin Install, just exit out of this (cancel).
Click START - RUN and type the following exactly as you see it here:
sfc /scannow
...and hit OK.
It will take about 10-15 minutes to complete and will repair / restore any Windows files that are missing or corrupt.

It might not be your problem. There are times yahoo mail quits working because their server is down so you just need to wait a few hours and try again.
