I would suggest Bare Minerals. This stuff is made of nothing but minerals...hence the name and will not cause any breakouts. Plus, it looks great on anyone!! Good luck!!

Try to get a variety of different brands. That's the whole fun with it! I love getting eyeshadows at MAC, they have beautiful colours, that are elaborate and fun. Cargo at Sephora has vibrant lipglosses, shiny and hot! Smashbox, is pretty good as well. it has so many nice lipglosses in nice sets. Sephora holds really great brands like: Cargo, Dior, Benefit, Stila, Prada, Lancome, Smashbox, Lorac, Urban Decay, Clinque and so much more! I suggest that you go there!
So the brands that have suggested are really nice and youthful, Lise Watier has nice stuff too!

You should go to a makeup counter such as Lancome and get help from the makeup artist there. Mascara, eyeshadow, blush, lip gloss etc... Tell her you want the basics. Makeup is sooo much fun!

sephora is an excellent store if you have one in your area, they have all sorts of reputable and great brands in one store. i use bare essentials makeup for my face...it is a powder foundation and it is all natural so your skin will never break out from it. it has good, medium coverage, and give your face a pretty glow that i just LOVE. also, lancome is one of my favorite lines. their lipsticks are great and last a looong time and their hypnose mascara is one of my favorite products because it makes your lashes thick and sooo long without clumping! for eyeshadows i love stilla brand because they have such pretty, shimmery colors and the shadow goes on so smoothly and lasts all day. smashbox is a really good line too, to check out. have fun, you are a lucky girl!

My wife tells me to tell you - depends on what you want to look like.
She likes MAC cosmetics which are well worth the price. She also says that Urban Decay is a good brand too.
Decide what you want to look like and then talk to some people at the places you want to shop. Good luck!

your best bet is SEPHORA or MAC.. but skip out on the dior makeup line for mascara, cause its not all that great. Lancome is always good too, great mascaras and lip glosses.

Depends on what type of skin you have. If you have sensitive skin or acne prone skin DEFINATELY do not get MAC unlesss its like eyewear (eyeshadow, mascara, liner) or lip stuff. That stuff you can use. I recommend Prescriptives or Bare Minerals. They both work really well. =)
