Answer this without ad hominem attacks on me or others that dont like her. This question is mainly for people who dont like her but if you so called Care Bears can answer that without disrespecting me in any way do so. And I dont want to hear from that guy who does all those Rory Emerald questions saying I should like every celebrity. Be civil when answering. Why cant some people just get over the FACT some people dont like her? No offense she just creeps me out. No defending her either just answer the bloody question!

Carrie Underwood has thrust her religion to the forefront of her public persona. That's always polarizing. Christians will absolutely adore her (and vehemently defend her), and non-Christians will find her annoying or uninteresting. By releasing a song like "Jesus, Take the Wheel" so early in her career, she has basically drawn a line in the sand for fans. Because people feel so strongly about religion, people are likely to feel strongly about her, more strongly that they would feel about a celebrity with a purely secular image.

Anyway to answer... Some people are just defensive, I guess. I am not really a fan of hers, but I think she is a decent singer. My sister likes her a lot, and doesn't have "hate toward people that don't like her." Why do you care so much?!

Well alot of fans are like that with other celelbs to. I am not a Carrie fan but I am a Dixie Chicks fan & I consider them & other celelbs i like as family. SO when people bad mouth them I take up for them without even questioning it. Also maybe Carrie's fans are like that cus they see her as the "darling of country" & are protective over her like I am Wynonna,Dolly,Loretta. blah blag blah. Anyway that could be why.

Because people are jealous and they want what she has is why I think some people don't like her, but we are each entitled to our own opinions if we express them tastefullly.
