I would recommend parking outside of the city at one of the subway stations and then take the subway in. Boston has a very cheap subway ($1.25 /one way) and some of the stations have parking lots or garages adjacent. Orient Heights on the Blue Line is only a 15-minute subway ride into the city, and a parking spot should cost you no more than $2 or $3 (for the day). Orient Heights is a safe area of East Boston and the parking lot is very large so you should have no problem finding a spot, although at night time it can get a bit spooky. Worst case, you can always ask one of the MBTA personnel to walk you to your car (if you're female and alone).

Other subway stations with ample paid parking include: Alewife station on the Red Line or Wellington station on the Orange Line. Alewife is especially convenient because it's literally a stone's throw from Route 95/128, and it's only a few stops away from Harvard Square. But I'm not sure how many parking spaces they have available.

Wellington also seems to have plenty of parking spots (up to a 5 minute walk from the station entrance), and it's a three-minute drive from Route 93. It's on the Orange Line, and about a ten minute ride into North Station, Haymarket and Downtown Crossing.

However, if you really insist on parking in the city, the cheapest place I know of would be the Underground Parking Garage at Boston Common. The worst place to try and find parking in the city is the North End. Police hand out tickets here like Viagra at Mardi Gras. Avoid it like the plague.

If you're coming from CT...depends on which way you're coming in. If you make it to the Mass Pike I would park at the closest Commuter Rail station and take the train into South Station. It's been a million freaking years since I went to school in Worcester, MA but I think that the Commuter Rail stops there now. The Commuter Rail also goes to Providence, RI if that's a possibility for you.

Once you get to town, if you insist on driving into the city, just be prepared to spend about $25-$35 for parking for the day. At that point, you can park wherever you like. There are no secret parking places-at least not ones that locals are gonna give up to out-of-towners!

You can pahk the cah at Hahvahd Yahd, ma dear.

OK seriously... the easiest in and out places at Boston would be either Wellington T station in Revere, or Sullivan T station in... Charlestown (I'm not sure of the town name- it's right off the Exit 28 offramp though). Sullivan is a smaller station than Wellington though. (Wellington is off of exit 31 but has some turns to make before you get there). It is much easier to go into the city on the T than it is to find affordable parking inside the Boston limits. Both T stations are pretty reasonable. Last time I parked at Sullivan, I think it was a $5.00 fee.

Boston has a wealthy record and a varied neighbourhood; it's a heritage of arts, tradition, and education; Boston has anything for everybody therefore find what Boston can offer you with hotelbye . The three-mile Freedom Trail leads you previous - and into - 16 of the city's key ancient monuments and sites. It's easy to follow along with, by the type of red stones in the pavement and by footprints at street crossings. The path can get you to Old Granary Burying Ground where Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock are buried; can get you to King's Chapel Burying Ground, the Boston's oldest cemetery; Old South Meeting House where the ringing speeches of patriots spawned the Boston Tea Party and the Old State House, Boston's oldest community developing and the site of the Boston Massacre.

Craig, don`t you remember the answers to your prior questions???????????? And why did you decide to stay in Chelmsford when, all things considered, Bedford would be cheaper???? The Bedford hotel would probably sell T passes, also; probably not Chelmsford. Anyway, you can park your car at Lowell train station, then buy your T pass at North Station, Boston. The nearest subway station that sells passes would be Alewife. To get there take Rte 3 to Rte 95 south to Rte 2 south. Alewife station is on Rte 2 at the Cambridge/Arlington city line. There is a big parking garage there but you have to pay (as you have to pay at all T parking lots and garages).

Park at Alewife and take the T into town. Coming from South of MA, take 95 North to Route 2 East. Alewife Station is on the right at the end ouf route 2.

It's well worth paying to park and ride from there rather than paying to park whereever you go in town, IF you can find parking.

Don't bother finding out there's nowhere to park, take the T.

It depends on where you are going to be. Boston is a very large city! I would put it in a parking garage so it won't get stolen.
