I enjoyed it, partially because I drive through Beulton occasionally and enjoyed seeing familiar locales, but mostly because it was a love story without being too sentimental. It was very realistic. I liked it more than the book in that the characters were fleshed out in more believable tones and not quite so over-the-top.

I saw it over a year ago, and I thought it was a very well made film. I found the characters played by Thomas Hayden Church and Virginia Madsen very believable.

I loved it! It's a hymn to friendship! and the impossibility of romantic relationships! It is a sad film with some hilarious moments! I loved the open ending!

I thought it was a well written, well acted film. The characters where flawed and intriguing. It had very funny moments (the spit bucket! yuck!), and the scenery was beautiful.
And I learned how to appreciate wine!

I thought it was a little over-hyped...I didn't particularly enjoy it. Kind of an anti-climactic ending.
