What do you say to all those state workers that will not be getting paid while the governor shuts down the state?

Here's my solution to states that allow themselves to shut down: since the government is going on vacation anyway, why not make it a long one? If the state budget lapses without another one taking its place: all legislators and administrators (governors, state senators and representatives) automatically lose their jobs and a new government is elected. Old legislators cannot run during this interim election.

To cover thebills during the period between when the last budget lapsed and the newly elected officials can enact a new one the previous budget automatically is carried forward.

Dems or Republicans, its just about criminal that our elected idiots can't make budgets.

I didn't hear anything about how all those Dems who are so much smarter than the Pres. couldn't write a budget in 100 days.
