No. It is not woth the wait and price. The food is okay, but for the price, you can get better at some where else.

Been to the Elephant Bar in Sacramento and Valencia. They were OK, but not great. The one in Ventura closed a while ago, and the service there was inconsistent. If you just want to drink, then their happy hour is good, but the food is OK, there are better places to eat.

If you're a foodie or a chowhound, I wouldn't go. But since you're asking the question, I suspect you tend to frequent chain and franchise type restaurants. Have an adventure! Try something different! Support your local restaurants. There are so many more restaurants within a mile's radius with better food. So in response to your question, no, it's not worth it!

It's so-so. They have a full bar, which is nice if you're going to hang out and sip a few drinks but if you're talking about gourmet food, it's not the place. Their dishes are typical American fare, but it's not bad - it's just nothing spectacular. I would say it's more like a tad trendier version of TGIF.

If you just want to try, go for a lunch before 11:30 when there is no crowd. I like their club sandwich that comes with a salad. It is big enough for a big eater or 2 small eaters.

I love it, you should absolutely try it. The food's really good, reasonably priced, and they have a pretty extensive menu. But the atmosphere is what makes it great, too -- you feel like you're in Africa. It's always crowded at the one in my town, though, so see if you can make a reservation.

I wouldn't recommend it. But, if you are the type that doesn't mind a chain restaurant w/ average food and service, then you might enjoy it. The look and feel of the restaurant is so obviously manufactured and unoriginal.
