My husband and I have had a lot of marital problems and arguments lately. I want to make everything up to him, but I'm not sure how to do it on a tight budget. Any ideas?

Find some elegant writing. Write him a poem from the heart.
A candlelit dinner is nice,......but!
Don't stop there.
Run him a bath.....nice hot bath...
It's not over yet!!!
Find you some elegants to put on. Candles in the bedroom. Wait for him. Have a note on the door to tell him to come in.
Oil massage!! Fruits!! Feed him, no, both of you feed each other.
During the session, let him know that he is your King and you are his Queen. Let him know that you are by his side no matter what!! Let him know that he is the oil that lubricates the engine of your wild-driven soul!!!!!!!!!!!
Then put it on him.
Oral, all of that.... Throw your inhibitions to the wind.

buy a cheap bottle of wine, make some sandwiches, throw a table cloth or a sheet on the front lawn, and talk to eachother, not at eachother. then inside for a backrub and maybe???

Find out what his "love language" is first. You may already know it, if not, you NEED to find it out! Each guy is different....just like us girls. There are 5 main "love languages" according to a book by Gary Chapman [I think that is the author....it's a great book].
1. physical touch - likes to be held, touched frequently, being made love to makes him feel that you truly love him.
2. gifts - he likes to receive any kind of thoughtful gift....doesn't have to be expensive, but simply shows you were thinking about him.
3. words of affirmation - he likes to be told that he is needed and complimented on what he does. Observe what he does and then be sure to let him know that you appreciate it. (this one is a BIGGIE for my hubby)
4. acts of service - he likes you to do things that you wouldn't normally do that are specifically FOR him or just "help him out" in some way. (mow the lawn, wash the car....ect)
5. quality time - he likes you to spend time with him without him having to ASK you to. You don't necessarily have to have "plans" he just enjoys BEING in the same room with you.
OK....do you notice your husband in any one of these categories? One way to tell which one he may be is WHICH ONE IS HE CONSTANTLY DOING FOR YOU? The way I found out my hubby was a "words of affirmation" was he was constantly telling me how much he appreciated me doing the laundry or the dishes or whatever. I had to finally tell him that my love language was NOT the same as his and he didn't have to tell me "thanks" all the time because it didn't matter to me as much as it did to him.
Anyway, find out what MATTERS to him and then work from there. Men don't understand when they go out of their way to do something nice for us and we don't appreciate it....well it is because what they did for us did not touch our hearts or our "love language". So do yourself a favor (and your husband) find out what will REALLY touch his heart. And then go from there.

picnic in the park. Cheap food and cheap bottle of wine. Give him a foot massage or neck rub. Enjoy the day "together".

Make him feel good. Flatter him, adore him, make him feel like he's the best. Doesn't cost a lot, but preserves the fragile male ego. Have fun!
