You're talking about commercially made products and even take away food products as well-- It's all to do with Generation"Y" and "marketing": The "Y" generation have no idea on what they're eating- Multi national companies are simply taking advantage of this latest group of consumers, who can advise you on which is the best mobile phone on the market , but could not advise you on how to make a reasonable, simple pasta with a red sauce , unless it came in a "Just add water and heat" packet- The ACME products of the "Bugs Bunny" era are here to stay;and it was here that the Road runner was always the winner, because it was the Coyote who always copped the consequences in using such fast to apply applications- Food enhancers are in everything today-especifically the type of enhancement which many know as "Chicken stock cubes" or "Chicken booster" .These "Boosters" are chemical additives - disguised under names such as "Natural " Gluten, Food Enhancers, Caramel, Hydrolyzed Vegetable oil, Wheat and Protein Extracts and the Likes-They are addictive, even more so than cigarettes, and in my opinion they are dangerous in long term use, and gives reason why so many people are not just getting ostensibly "Obese" from eating such products, but are also getting sicker from serious medical conditions like asthma an diabetes-The very same medical conditions that are hardly never seen in countries which shun the use of such food laden additives- Such "chemicals" have the potential to shut down normal body functions, to favor functions that slowly and surely change the way the body is suppose to work-via a process defined as "Clashing"- When "Chemicals" that are naturally produced by the human body, clash with chemicals of artificial design to produce adverse reaction over long term use- of which problems will arise. The "Chichen booster " type of flavor is one of the most popular agents around world wide- It's used heavily in sauces, in burger mince , in bread making, potato crisps and even - get this "Chicken soup"- and a whole host of other "easy to make " type of snack foods and meals- Ideally suited for use by "Generation Y"- who find boiling an egg, harder to do than rebooting a ipod.- As chemical use infects a few, eventually it will affect everyone. By 2008 manufacturers will have over 4000 such additives to add into our foods- 5 cents worth of chemicals added to 20 cents worth of a base product, all wrapped in a 2 dollar, well printed box, and walla, you have a remarkable, marketable item, where profits and gains is main activity of application-

I can still recall an episode, where in desperation the Coyote had to resort in buying ACME dried chicken- The box simply read- "just and water"- 40 years later, and guess what..!

Because people do not know how it is supposed to taste, so they compare it only to things they know. And honestly chicken does not have much of a taste, so I think they do that cause they do not know what the real meat does taste like.

Is it because you are eating
chicken burgers
chicken nuggarts
chicken curry
chicken chow mein
chicken stew
chicken chinese style
chicken soup
chicken fried rice
chicken samosas
chicken sandwiches
chicken kebabs

try eating something else, like beef, pork, lamb etc then you will see that everything does not taste like chicken

If you go to Chickenland, dressed as a chicken, and order KFC this might be the case. Otherwise vary your diet. Too much chicken can affect your ability to ask intelligent questions.

Maybe because our taste buds have been so polluted with tastes were are told are good for us and taste really naff our the fact we have teeth built for the chewing of juicy tasty chicken, i think it is all in the mind because my brother was picking his nose and eating it at 10. When i asked what it tasted like he said chicken and that was his favourite meat....the chicken that is, not his nose jockeys!:)

Because we are actually living in a virtual reality world designed by machines to keep us humans under control so that they can use us as an energy source. And the machines didn't know how everything was supposed to taste, so they made many things have the same taste.

Isn't it obvious?
