There is a time limit if you are using your insurance to pay for the doctor. However, you have a good excuse, and sometimes it takes a few days for you to discover the pain. Go as soon as you can. Ask your doctor if the pain could have not showed up right away. He should say yes, if you get him to agree to write a statement saying so then your insurance company can't deny the claim.

Every state has different statutes of limitations.
Most important thing you should do is report it to your insurance company as soon as possible. Ask your insurance adjuster about it.

In New Jersey there is a two year statute, but I've never seen anyone wait that long. Also, in NJ they require that any treatment rendered 10 days after the accident needs to get pre-certification.

All insurance companies are slightly different, so you should really call and ask.

Take the Alzheimer patient with you, but get yourself to the doctor quick. Some medical insurance doesn't apply if you wait too long after an accident.

I would think that the staute of limitations does run out. Not only for your insurance but for your charges (if your pressing any)
