I once read on a Ann Landers column many years ago; I found it in the net. It is as follows.
Published by Ann Landers 12/01/92:
Dear Ann Landers: In 1969, I started my first year as a university student. Soon after, I developed a severe case of acne, and I am sure stress had a lot to do with it. I went to three doctors and spent hundreds of dollars on medicine that did not work.
The summer of 1970, I went to lunch with a friend at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and while in the ladies' room, a beautiful East Indian woman wearing a sari gave me a smile. When I responded, she touched my face and said, "Oh, no. Red ugly spots on pretty face. You fix with egg yolk." I said, "Are you serious? Do you think it would really help?"
She replied, "Yes, you put raw egg yolk on face and let dry for 10 minutes, then wash off. Do every day for one month and spots go away. You do again two times in every month for three months and again if trouble starts."
I was unconvinced but thanked her anyway. That night I decided I had very little to lose since the acne was terrible and nothing else had worked. Well, Ann, that woman knew what she was talking about. Since then, I've told several friends about the egg-yolk cure and the success rate has been phenomenal. Please tell your readers. They'll be forever grateful.
So there I hope that helps, egg is an excellent source of Vitamin A they say that is why it helps. I also had a horrible acne problem I am 31 now and its is back. I just started Pro Activ I hope it works for me. I eat a lot of yogart and it has helped me some (just had a baby new source of stress). I was thinking if you were to go to a health food store you could buy Vitamin A drops if you are totally grossed out with thought of egg on your face. Vitamin E helps heal fresh scars. I think Vitamin E also comes in drops or in little capsules you can puncture and squeeze. If this helps you pass it on. I also asked a similar queation a couple days ago and this was the response I one of the best responses I got.
I had similar skin problems, large pores and oily skin, especially round chin and nose, the only thing that really helped was a bar soap called "Cetaphil" I use it religiously!! It also comes in a selection of lotions and facial cleansers, a dermatologist recommended it. It's OTC get it at any drug store, hope you will give it a try!!

The main thing that you have to do is change your diet. If you are eating a lot of candy and/or chips, this will only aggrevate the problem. If I get anything on my face I put toothpaste on it. I wash my face before going to bed, then I put a small dab of toothpaste on each of the spots. In the morning wash your face, then do it again that night. You will probably need to do it for a few nights, but it usually only take two or three. Good Luck!

My skin always looks a lot better when I cut out dairy products from my diet, take omega fatty acids like flax oil or salmon, and drink lots of water. Sunshine also helps, although in large doses its not the healthiest either. I would wash my face with regular soap whenever it started to feel greasy - sometimes many times a day! Be careful to find that balance of not overdrying, but drying, your skin with the soap you use. Its a pain, eh? (Canadian) Actually, it reminds me of a question I'm gonna ask.

Acne Removal
Acne removal is the first thing on the mind of a person suffering from acne. Acne occurs when androgen hormone increases in the body causing clogged skin pores. In the clogged skin pore the presence of bacteria forms acne.

You should use shampoo. Seriously. Use shampoo for normal hair and not the stuff for dry or oily hair.
Lightly wash your face with this on a soft cloth and DO NOT SCRUB. You don't want anything that will dry out your skin or you will trigger more acne.
I use VO5 for normal hair and I have been acne free for years.

I have this problem, too. I've tried everything over-the-counter and prescription. Nothing seems to work, but I found that anything that says "non-comedogenic" and "fragrance-free" to do the least amount of harm to my already sensitive skin.
Good luck!
