Have you ever thought of asking him to come with you? Your first priority should be yourself. How do you know what will happen in the future with this guy. THings could work out great, but on the other hand they may not. If you become a sucess, then you will never have to worry about what will happen to you. And if this man is all you say he is, then he should want you to persue this job. If ya'll are meant to be, it will be. Hope it all works out

first of all he will not die without you, so drop that one right now. yes you will probably regret not being the success you could have been because of him, he will become something that held you back and look what if you don't go and the two of you break up later on, then you'll really feel like a fool. the fact is that if he truly loves you he wants what is best for you and if you are sure it won't last until you get back then it won't last if you stay either. all the marriages that end in divorce started out feeling the same way you do about him now, obviously things change. a successful career will help you throughout the rest of your life no matter what guy you end up with and actually if it works out with him it benefits his life too, there is no downside to it, there is a very definite downside to not going. this is a brain decision not a heart decision. make your decision based on facts, not feelings and those are: if its really love he wants the best for you, if its really love it will still be love when you come back, this is good for the rest of your life, him you can't be sure of because you never can be sure of these things. good luck to you!

Go to South Africa and write him the world's greatest letters about your experience. Invest in phone calls and describe your life with fantastic spirit and detail. If he's not able to handle your communications, then he's not worth it. Seriously, the best guys are the ones who love you for what you're doing -- and how you can express it.

My brother had a chance to go pro in baseball, but gave it up for some chick. There isn't a day goes by that he doesn't regret it. Go for the success...you'll find love again.

What if it were him: his future, his job, his life? What would he do?

What if you miss this chance and you and he do not marry, or you marry and it doesn't work out? THen you will have thrown this chance away. If he loves you then he can wait, or go with you. If he wants to control you he will tell you that he will break up if you leave. His behavior will tell you if he is mature or not, sincere or not.

Go for your dream. Go for your passion. Do not let your boyfriend stand in your way. If you can continue your relationship while you are abroad you then have a keeper. If not, go for the dream.

you know what they say, if it is meant to be you let them go and if it comes back it was meant to be, I would not miss out on a once in a lifetime opportunity, if your relationship is strong, and he loves you as much as you love him, he will wait for you. if he doesn't there are plenty of fish in the sea.
