why on earth do you have heels. One time I stood on the edge of a sidwalk for a few min, and my legs hurt after that. Why dont you ladies Just say no to certian things about fashion, if it hurts don't do it. I have seen my sister -in -laws feet. she lives in newyork city, her feet are messed up. ( just dont say no to the thongs, I do like those) lol

well mike, we women do have to look good for the men so thats why we wear the heals and trust me thongs are my best friends

I wear heels once in a blue moon only when the outfit does not look good with flat shoes.
I know women who have worn high heels all their lives and literally cannot wear flat shoes and if they do, they cannot walk properly. Kinda like the opposite of someone just starting to walk in heels.
I've heard that after wearing heels for a long time can be really bad for your feet. Something about affecting the bones in your feet as you get older.
It's okay to wear them once in a while but I wouldn't encourage people (women and men) to wear them all the time.

Women wear high heels to impress men and other people but mostly men. The irony of that is that heels were created by a man, in fact most fashionable items / practices that are harmful to women were created by men (corsets, rings around the neck, foot binding, etc.)

I love women wearing high heels, my wife has worn stilletos of 4 inches and higher all her life and still does at over 60 years old. She finds flat shoes uncomfortable. High heels alter a womans whole body shape and stance, wearing them transforms a woman from a cart horse into a thourough bred race horse.

I have some heels because I am 5'2" and my boss won't let me wear gaucho pants or capris without heels on. I agree, though, they suck! I only like a low heel.

It depends on the heel and the build of the shoe. Some shoes are just not made to be worn.

Several reasons. They look dressier. They make legs look longer and bodies look slimmer. Men like them. And me? I just think shoes with heels are cute, flats, not so cute.

I won't were the things either. Some women are just so obsessed with their looks...that its just unpleasant.

You need to watch the Jeff Foxworthy standup where he talks about this- we do it to make our a$$ look better!! LOL no seriously, I pretty much live in sneakers and sandals, so I don't get it either.
