Your age determines how much information you can obtain. In most states you have to be 18 to get the information legally. Your parents do know the adoption agency. If you are 18, start there or with the agency that took over their records. If they adopted you through an attorney, contact him or her. If you were born in a different country you will have to start with the city records of the city you were born in. Your parents hopefully have the info as to the hospital you were born in. They can help too although they are severely limited by privacy laws. Your biological parents can (but probably won't) block you from finding them as well. If you have other questions ask another question.

Check with the Louisiana birth records or adoptions during the month and year you were born. I hope you find them.
