First I tell them that I have many strengths, then list three of the most comlimentary to what the company is looking for. For me it is my ability to talk to just about anyone, and in my job that is very important. As for weaknesses, I have a hard time dealing with noise when I am trying to work. I don't deal with frustration very well either, but I'm learning. On the job training for that. Good Luck.

For strengths you list preferably with examples the qualitis or skills you have that make you perfect for the job.
For weaknesses you put things that could also be strengths like always having to finish what you start, or always working so hard you often find yourself working late or hating to be late for anything, a good one is that you're never happy with your work unless you can feel you've done your best and given 100%

Some great advice from the others. Just be ready for a possible follow up question about how your strengths or weaknesses inpact on your performance. A good answer to this question demonstrates good self awareness.

First and foremost Honesty and sincerity are the best policies.
Be positive and always think that the best employee's are those associates that are pro active problem solvers offering exceptional customer service. See weakness as areas of skill improvement. Where you may not have said experience, but always willing to take on new challenges and develop your skills
-Good luck!

You answer truthfully. Tell them what you are good at, what experience you have etc. Weakness doesn't always mean something bad. I tend to "mother" some of my employees. That is what I told HR. when I got hired. I got the job. They just want to see if you can objectively communicate about yourself.

I'd suggest memorising what you have put on your CV, if you put down some of your personal qualities, just say those, but different wording. And employers don't like weaknesses, so just say that your weakness is that you work too hard sometimes, or some other crap.
