I hooked up with my current boyfriend last July. We had sex without trouble until my birthday in September. I got really drunk that night and awoke the next day with some alcohol poisoning, a yeast infection, and a urinary tract infection(all of which I haven't experienced before). My doctor and I thought it was simply thanx to the alcohol I had consumed, but as months passed I have had utis and yeast infections repeatedly. Most of the time I see them occuring the morning after I have sex. My boyfriend has only been with one other girl and she had similar problems. He was her first partner and to his knowledge she was loyal to him. I also only had one partner before and he was my first and I was his. I never had this problem with him and we were together for 3.5 years. Any ideas why I am having these problems?

Yeast infection is very contagious!!!!! you can get it in your mouth (thrush) and in genetal area. It can be caused from bacteria! Anylize, what you are using during sex, condoms, creams, ointments etc... Some of these can carry the bacteria and make it worse. Then causing your yeast infection. Some women get yeast infections when they are pregnant and after they have the baby it goes away!!! You can get a yeast infection from anyone who has it, such as a baby you just changed there diaper. Even if you wash your hands well!!!! Perhaps bf could take a shower and wash super well b4 sex... maybe that will help. Douching will most probably make it worse. Especially if your PH is already out of balance. Good luck and be sure to get a second opinion from a gyn.

Yes it does .It used to be called the Honeymooners Disease a long time ago because new Brides came down with it alot. I've been told by my Doctor when I had the unfortunate luck to get it that it was caused by a bacteria normally present to get into the urinary tract. If you make shure that you urinate after sex the chances that you will get it will go down. Are you shure it's a urinary tract infection some STD's also have similar symtoms. If I were you I would get myself to the Doctor right ayay, no joje!

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMAdT
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

These types of infections can be passed between women and men. Best get the boyfriend treated as well. You could be passing the infections back and forth between each other. I've had yeast infections in the past and my doctor made sure my hubby was checked for the infection too.

Is he circumcised? I had that problem many years ago with a man I dated for a year. Also, antibiotics will cause that big time. Sounds like maybe you both need to be treated for a yeast infection.
