Try searching at craftster.org forums for "purse tutorial" - lots and lots of directions there, and best of all they are free... You'll find everything there from regular sewn purses to ones made out of notebooks, record album covers, etc.
Very cool place to start...

well my mom make purses for her shop out of pants. she cuts below the pockets and sews the bottom, and she puts feathers and rinestones and a lot of different designs. then she buys handles at the store and puts then on.or she will also put material inside to cover up the stiches. :) and thing else u can IM me. :) kiki_marieda@yahoo.com
