sinus track?

i already consulted 3 doctors, and they gave us only Augmentine..do u recommend any other else or what do you advise us to do? coz my son is skipping school right now, his classmates tease him w/ the swollen sinus track...he don't want to go to school, he said, he'll go to school when his sinus track healed already

I don't know how long he has been on the Augmentum,if not long then give it some time. You can do a couple of safe things in the meantime.They sell an over the counter nasal spray.It is only saline(salt water).Salt has an antibacterial action.I like the ocean brand. You can also direct the light of a heat lamp(not sun lamp)at his face.Not too close of course and he can wear sunglasses.I know this sounds simple,but it is only to help boost his recovery in a safe way. Also,some of your eye allergy drops trickle to the back of sinuses and can be amazingly helpful.Good luck to your precious kid.

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR KID NEEDS SOME EXTRA ENCOURAGEMENT FROM YOU. SOMETIMES KIDS CAN BE MEAN AND CREATE THINGS THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY ARE HURTING SOMEONE, TALK TO YOUR SON, YOU MIGHT TRY AND EAR NOSE AND THROAT SPECIALIST, BECAUSE I'M SURE THEY WOULD HAVE TO KNOW SOMETHING OR HAVE A BETTER CURE, JUST KEEP DIGGING AROUND, I HAVE SINUS PROBLEMS AND THEY GAVE ME FLONASE AND NASONEX, BUT IT DOESN'T HELP ME MUCH AS I JUST HAVE A CONTINUAL DRIP, SO YOU MAY HAVE TO TALK TO A SPECIALIST.
THERE IS ONE THING I DID HEAR OF RECENTLY, YOU MAY CHECK, THEY'VE COME UP WITH A NEW BALLOON PROCEEDURE THAT THEY CAN GO IN AND OPEN THE WALLS UP MORE, ITS SORT OF NEW, SO YOU MAY ASK AROUND.
