Here are some fairly non-violent suggestions.
Any of the Sim games--especially, Sim City, The Sims, The Sims 2 (simulate running a city or a family)
Snood (a shareware game available from http://www.womgames.com). It is a kind of static Tetris-like game that does not require speed--however, it can be addictive.
PuzzlePirates (http://www.puzzlepirates.com)--an online multi-player game with a lot of puzzles and the opportunity to meet other players and work with them on amassing a fortune.

Diablo 2 most definitely. 3-d real time fighting game.. Explore different levels, raise stats, get bigger and better weapons. Do quests. I love that game. Plus with the expansion you have 7 different chars to choose from and you have the option for on-line play free of charge.

Why not try a Game Like Everquest for PS2 and Pc or World of Warcraft Games. I hear alot of Girls like those Games.
