Music unites races and creeds, nationalities and sexes, the young and old. It expresses what we cannot every day.
It sets mood and changes outlooks. It laughs with us and inspires us to greatness. It soothes and riles. It washes away the dirt of mans life. It hands down tradition, it assembles us. It mourns our losses collectively and personally.
Life with out music, whether the pounding riffs of rock guitars or the gentle flow of a lullaby would be an empty and sad place and a far less intelligent society. The sound, the system, the feel of music. AHHHHH life is good.

......a mistake for sure!

But for me, my memories are recorded in my head by a soundtrack. If you name a song, it take me back to that era and I relive a certain day. I suppose without music, my life would be a silent movie. Motion with no sound. Memories with no rhythm. Action with no high notes. What a shame that would be. To have the colors of life without the chords that make it flow. Life would definitely be a mistake.

without music in my life, I would have been relegated to the funny farm a long time ago. It has saved me from despair and lifted my heart and soul higher than anything else can do.
It is also very personal.

Nietzsche does have some interesting quotes and are great for using as questions.

A mistake...I can't and don't even want to imagine how my life or the world would be without music. It seems to make life more bearable somehow. If I'm sad, angry, happy or confused it's nice to listen to a song or two to help me deal with my emotions.

monochromatic.

as dance, painting, humor, religion, government, personality, all add to the different hues of life, Music gives us the true, basic colors.

Music is basic to all cultures and all people. However, I pity the people who have only the base of all music in their life. We all need rhythm, harmony, form and melody in our music. We also need deep and lasting lyric to add to our music.

the deeper the music, the deeper the colors.

Too quiet. "Raise your voices, and make a Glorious noise unto the Heavens".
I like music.
Now, go play "Dead", and dance in the streets...
