My kids have that VTech V Smile video game system. They think it's a Playstation or something by the way it's designed. It has TONS of learning games that go to it.

I think good computer games for an 8 yr. old are the NANCY DREW mystery series. you can get them at best buy (America) or the future shop (in Canada).
