It depends on how you measure megabytes. Mladen_P is technically correct. 1.5x1024x1024. However, hard drive manufacturers measure megabytes differently, to pretend they have more space than they really do. They would call 1.5 megabytes as 1.5x1000x1000.

1.5*1024 = 1536KB
1536*1024 = 1572864 Bytes
