I am 7 months pregnant with our second child (girl) ...we already have one daughter. I like the older victorian names that you don't hear very often nowadays. Our 2 year old year I named Cassandra. For this baby I was going through a list and came across the name Miranda; which I have always liked too...
Do you think it would be cute to have a Cassandra & a Miranda ((who arent twins)), or are the names too much alike?

Miranda is a beautiful name (as is Cassandra), they are pretty similar sounding...may get confusing when calling out to them. But, if you like the name, by all means, name your daughter Miranda. The only thing that matters is that you have a healthy child.

I don't think that the girls not being twins matters w/ those names, I'm just not a big fan of the name Miranda

I think they're both beautiful names. I love Miranda! Sort of uncommon, but not "weird" uncommon, or something that will get her picked on in school, or won't make people take her professionally when she's an adult. I think it's a beautiful name! (I'm on the traditional side when it comes to names, too.)

I like Miranda but try to spell it a little different........................

Myranda
Maranda
Mirannda

Or if you really like the name but don't want the names to be too much alike try using Miranda as the middle name instead.........

Victorian Miranda
Victoria Mirranda

i think they are both beautiful names and that you will be satisfied if you pick it the only thing is is that when they get older and you are trying to discipline them you are going to call out the wrong name sometimes but if that is OK with you and you really like the name then that is what i think you should name your new baby girl when she comes into the world and by the way congratulations
