On the Settle-Carlisle railway. The Carnforth answer was correct, though there is now a 'Brief Encounters cafe' at Langwathby and the Cumbria tourist board promotes the whole area as 'Brief Encounters Country' in the same way other tourist boards have had the dreadful ideas of promoting 'Catherine Cookson Country', 'Last of the Summer Wine Country', 'James Herriot Country', 'Heartbeat Country' and 'Hogwarts Castle'.
