i plan to wear a colored shoe (maybe pink) and hand bag...

I wore black to the last wedding I attended as a guest and dressed it up with a bit of burgundy. Several others were in black as well. Black is not about death anymore - It's about formality and class.

I do wedding photography and i will offer this pieced of advice. If the wedding is more formal, you'll be fine in black. If its a less formal event you might want to look for something a bit less classy.

yes. many people DO wear black to weddings. It is not disrespectful in any way. However, if you feel bad about wearing black, dress it up with some cute colorful heels and jewelry.

no its very rude it will be like u can't wait till they die or get a divorce its usally a sign that u think the marriage won't work out and they will probably talk about u.go with a pink. but don't worry this isn't ur wedding wear what ever color u want

You can wear a black dress and other accessories with it,it doesn't have to be a plain dress,dress it up with other colors or a sheer scaf or something that's really light and will stand out make sure your shoes match,have a BALL!!

if the wedding is in the evening, then yes. If not, probably a nice summer dress would be better.

Naw!!!You dont wear no black to a wedding!!Unless your planing to die there.I have to agree with "Coolporshia".Im 12 yrs old and I know you aint suposed to wear black to a wedding!!

well if you go with tradition absolutly not..it's a wedding not a funeral...BUT it is a new Mellinum and things aren't like they used to be, I have seen it done but I don't think it's appropriet*, nor is wearing white either, only the bride is susposed to...

Definitely. I think in this day and age, it's appropriate to wear whatever color you want to.
