Go to a bookstore and get a current baseball card price guide. The ones in the library tend to be dated. Remember the price in the guide is based on the cards in question being in perfect or near perfect condition.
If you are selling to a dealer, don't expect the price you saw in the guide. The dealer is buying the cards to re-sell them.
Make sure the cards are in near mint condition. Make sure they are kept in their original box or in an album, something that protects them from damage. If you bring a shoebox of baseball cards to someone, they will pay close to nothing for them.
If you sell them on E-Bay, mention the most valuable cards in the collection. Someone may buy the whole lot from you just to get one or two prominent cards.

The best place to get prices is the Beckett price guide. An easy way to sell them is ebay or take them to a local card shop, just make sure you have an idea of what you have before you do either one.

Look on ebay at similar cards and see what they're going for. That's one starting point. There's also a book out there that tells you the value of each card. You can probably get it at the library if you don't want to go to Barnes & Noble or Waldenbooks (that's where I've seen it.) I don't know the name of it or who it's by, but if you ask the salesperson for the book that prices baseball cards, they should be able to find it.

To price them you need to go to a card store and purchase a pricing guide. Baseball cards are kinda low right now compared to the big hype back in the 90's so best to hold on to them until they get popular agian.

Why do you want to sell his cards. Baseball cards don' t take up a lot of space and they will be more valuable as time goes by. Put them up somewhere.... forget about them... and when you need them for retirement or weddings later on in life.. then sell them.

You can always look for the same cards at eBay and see what the market is like. And you can also sell them there if you wish.

threre are pricing gudes available from topps etc. You will make more $ selling the cards individually, but you may find a buyer who will take all off your hands for decent price.
