some people just have no awareness of how others feel. they cannot take hints from tone of voice, body language etc.... i'm afraid with people like this you have to tell them straight! good luck!

Could be any # of reasons. Here's a cupla examples. Sometimes one requires more than a HINT.

1. One may not be making it clear enough.
2. One may be sending mixed signals.
3. The other person is in denial, and refuses to accept the hint.

Usually the reason you can't stand someone like that anyway is because they are too dense to figure out how unlikable they really are.....or maybe your hints are weak.

Stop hinting and be direct. They may not like what you had to say, but they will back off. Some may respect you for your directness.
