Perhaps if DVDs were cheaper their would be no need to copy them.I seen the same DVDs on the net vary in price from £6-£20.This cant be fair to the public surely as not everyone has a PC to search for cheapest price.A few pounds difference is not bad but sometimes 75% more, wrong, very wrong.

Lets get clear on this one it is legally wrong to copy movies and sell the copies on for profit as it is also illegal to copy and sell DVD movies that have been acquired by the means of someone filming them with a camcorder, same for promotional work as well, But it isn't technically wrong to watch them if you have them it is a moral thing really if you agree the law is correct and piracy is bad then don't watch them or join a P2P file sharing network like limewire or bit torrent and download them yourself free, not only will you not need to scan every download thoroughly for viruses and spyware prior to use, and you definitely wont need to download any divx/MP4 codecs to play them with!
If you do feel it acceptable to view this media then go to either www.filehippo.com or www.downloads.com and download bit torrent or limewire basic they are pretty easy to use. and the k-lite codec pack which is freeware as well and get started remember to pre-scan the files you download prior to opening the file and after extraction as well, it is also possible to download from other sites like movies unlimited as well but they require a fee usually deducted using pay pal or a credit card.
some sites will say they are legally in the right but are usually justifying selling the movies at inflated prices.
Most street markets in the UK sell them now so it may be easier to buy them if you live here.

Its very very easy to get pirate dvds and i know i great deal of people who have them. As for if its right or not, technically its a crime but so is paying people like Tom the mental scientoligist freak Cruise 20 million dollars per film. In my eyes stealing from huge multi-national corportations is no more a crime than if you stole a loaf of bread to feed your family.

Well black market videos are great because you pay less to see the same...But at the same time you are stealing from the people who make them...and it's against the law. ..Now if you lived in NYC I would not have to tell you that you can buy a copy of the most recent movies when you get on the train to go someplace...People get on the train and they sell them....Even if it's against the law...and you see these same people just about every day...

You can find them for sale at car boots sales & on the internet.

You can also download them yourself if you have the right equipment.

I don't know if it is right or not. They are a bit expensive to buy aren't they? I have loads of DVDs that have never been watched, but I'll watch the film when it is on TV. £19 a go is a bit much (esp if you never watch them). I can imagine how much people pay if they have kids who loves films......

:-)

Its usually not much more expensive to just rent them! (and if you manage to track down the totally free program DVDShrink, you could back up the DVDs you legally own!)
