Think about it. Is it ethical to complain about the damage to the environment and then have more than two kids? Sounds hypocritical to me. Consider how much energy each of us consume, how much food is processed to feed us (Cow methane, Pesticides, destruction of natural habitats, etc) and how much pollution we create in our life styles.

This is not an argument but a question. I consider anything passed two children to be selish and unethical. Two...well that's because you can't have 1.5 children...

I personally beleive that one should give birth to one baby and adopt the next baby. Countries which are not having population problem should think about future. We Indians now realised the importance of small families. I am speaking on behave of some of the people I know. Overpopulation will only lead to problems like poverty, higher rates of commodity, pollution, no place to live, lack of jobs for the youth etc etc. This can be the guture if there is no law made to impose the upper limit on the number of children each couple have. Chinese are now following the rule of only 1 child per family

Your argument isn't sound. Where do you get the "2 children" number from? Do you have evidence that supports some theory that 2 children don't harm the environment while 3 or more do?
If your logic is that population grown harms the environment so we shoudldn't have children, then that is a totally different question (with its own logical fallacies). If your logic is that you have a "right" to have 2 kids, but no more, then I'd ask you to explain where you came up with that number.
This is an ideological question that is rife with illogical conclusions based on nonsense and fallacy. Most people who discuss this question aren't up to addressing the underlying issues surrounding the assumptions that bring the question up in the first place.

At this point in time I believe only china has a limit of two children per couple, and I don`t think at this time it would be very popular here. But at some point it will be necessary due to overpopulation and starvation. It is foolish to think that the earth can sustain as many humans as we can pump out. There is a limit!

No, you should only be limited by your own reasoning for or against children. Ethics and pollution have nothing to do with it. I don't want to be mean, but I can tell you are not a father. If you were then you would not asking such a question.

People say you shouldn't be limited, but they're not thinking of what the world will be like in ten years. It's completely unethical to have more than two. And it's selfish. You want a lot of kids? Adopt.

It often seems to me that the WRONG people are having kids. But this is a free country and the places the legislate how many kids someone may have are not fun to live in... China, for example. When the government starts butting too much into people's lives you start having real problems.

I want at least two kids- three at the most. But- I believe that one shouldn't have more kids than they can afford... Don't complain about how "Broke" you are if you're punching out all these expensive babies.
Too much kids is just too much.

No, people should not be limited to the number of kids they can have. That, in and of itself, would be unethical. By the way, I am childfree by choice, but not to save the environment. It's to save my sanity!

No, because that is forceful and horrible. Especially if someone is forced to have an abortion if they have more than too, now that would be unethical. It would be like communism if that was a law.

It should be limited to whatever the family can support. Having any more than that places the burden on the rest of us, and that's no fun.
