On occasion I'll have a strange dream of me doing something ordinary (even if I don't ordinarilly do it) but when I wake up I'll forget all about it. Then - Deja Vu - I end up doing what ever was in the dream and it'll come back to me.
Ex 1: My family recently got a treadmill, but my dad wheeled it through the mud. I started to help him clean the wheels and it hit me. I dreamed about doing this last night before I even knew we were getting a treadmill!
Ex 2: I had a dream about me and my friend but the part that really stuck out was a pair of shoes outside my grandma's house right before my dad came out through the door. Not a month later and my dad bought the exact same pair of shoes!
Does anyone else have weird dreams like these?

The treadmill wasn't brand new...It came from my grandmother's exercise room. As for how he wheeled it in...well, he tipped and pushed it like a wheelbarrow since there's only two wheels and they're at the top.

Yes. Everyone does. They're not, however, "prophetic dreams," they are occurrences of deja vu, a faulty quirk of memory. You interpret what is happening as a memory. It's not well understood, but it's not the gift of second sight.

I can't say I've dreamed of things that then later happen. But I do experience Deja Vu from time to time. From my understanding, most people do. Some people just more frequently than others. I'll be doing something rather ordinary and it suddenly hits me "oh weird, I remember this...like I've done it already!" It really freaks me out and frustrates me sometimes that I can't understand why it happens and what is actually happening in those situations. According to my Mom, who's a psychologist, a possible explanation is that the messages are actually replayed through your brain a second time, so you get the impression you've done it before as it happens. It's basically like your mind sent the message in a short loop for second. I may have botched that up trying to explain it, but she's the psychologist not me. So in essence, you do not prophesy these happens and you are not actually predicting anything. If you can wake up from these dreams that you think are prophecies and write the dream down on paper as specifically as possible, you will then have more specific evidence to point out when that event actually takes place. Otherwise, it could be the first case scenario.

Yes, I do. In fact often mom and me have the same dreams. Some are meaningless like you dreaming of cleaning the treadmill wheels. Others are warnings, so over my years I've begun to really be intune with them.
My examples. For a few weeks I dreamed I was going to die in an automobile accident and not see the holidays. Then one morning on my way to work, a gasoline tanker pulled into my lane coming towards me. We missed each other by only a few feet.
Another example. Mom and me had the same recurring dream for quite awhile. In our dream, there had been a terrible tornado and we couldn't find my oldest son. We were looking around for him frantically to no avail. When he started school the following year, we always picked him up instead of riding the bus. Well one day, the teacher put him on the bus instead and there was a tornado watch for our area. We flanked the school not knowing what the teacher had done, looking my son. Mom in the meantime went home, it was just up the street about a mile. And in front of her driveway sat the school bus waiting for one of us to get my son.

Ex 1. how do you wheel a brand new treadmill through mud? i mean it comes in a box, and you put it in your house and open the box, put it together and....where did the mud come from?
Ex 2. A lot of shoes look alike
What I would do, is when you wake up just write what you did in your dream.

i have had some psychic or prophetic desires earlier. I commonly comprehend what they propose after I awaken, and that i'll't end questioning about it for a lengthy time period. Like, I had a dream that i became strolling with my (then) boyfriend, and he left me in the back of. after I wakened, I kept questioning "he will chop up with me". actually sufficient, he did about a week later. also, my mom's instructed me of a few cases she'd had desires that could come real. She'd dreamt of a neighbor's domicile burning down- it did some months later, her sister's first son being a boy- he became, and a woman she knew lack of life- the girl died the subsequent day suddenly. I also get Deja-Vu a lot, each from time to time more desirable than others. I not in any respect connect that feeling with a dream. yet i comprehend that feeling of being someplace, doing something, with the very similar information as something i believe i'd experienced earlier. i have also considered a prophetic signal contained in the clouds, besides.

Yes, I dreamed that you are going to get a slew of hilarious, pointed answers to this question.
It's possible that you KNEW that the weather would be rainy on the day you were picking up your treadmill, so you foresaw (??) the fact that you'd have to clean off the wheels.
There are lots of shoes that look alike. Especially men's shoes.
