For example, do you think jamie lynn spears would've been able to get a nick t.v. gig without being britney's sister? NOPE!! i'm sick of siblings doing that because some of us out here are working hard to just do what they're doing...they didn't have to work as hard.

Sometimes they get famous for being their sibling, and other times they have talents too. In the circumstance of Jamie and Britney, I'm 100% sure that Jamie just got famous and put on the TV show All That, for being Britney's little sister. I haven't seen any talent in Jamie whatsoever! But in the case of Ashlee Simpson, I think that it is half and half. Ashlee has some catchy songs, but being Jess's sister has gave her a push.
Most celeb siblings get REALLY lucky, like Aaron Carter. He sang a couple of songs because his brother was already in the business, so it was fairly easy for him to get a contract. But., when you have a sibling as well, families try SO hard to get the other one in too, like Hilary Duff's sister Haylie Duff. Why the heck is Haylie in preactically all of Hilary's videos and TV shows... But, with Nicky and Paris Hilton, they both got famous by being the daughters of their father - the owner of the Hilton hotels. As well, they first asked Nicky and Paris to do the simple life, but Nicky declined, so Paris asked Nicole.
But overall, most get famous for being lil' siblin'.

haha.. I totally agree. And what is worse, is when other people get famous because of the celb sibs. For example...
(5)Ryan Caberra is only famous because he dated Ashlee Simpson.
(4)Ashlee is only famous because of Jessica.
(3)Jessica sould not have been such a big deal without "The Newlyweds". Making part of her celebrity due to Nick Lachey,
(2)Nick's popularity is due to the 98 degrees thing
(1)and they were only popular because of the boyband time period.

well, many people recognize that they used their brother or sister to become famous, making them not as popular...and I'm sure that many of them don't feel quite as good about themselves as they would have if they had done it by themselves...but imagine this...your brother or sister succeeds in what you have always dreamed of and becomes famous...the only problem is that you were born at the wrong time and everyone acts like you took the easy way out...how would you feel if you were willing to work as hard as everyone else but didn't have to and now you had to pay...the people will know talent when they see it, no matter who you are or who you sibling is...give them a break...even if some are not very good, I;m sure some siblings have to have talent.

Hahaha, I know what you mean! Its like the Simpson sisters, and also Lindsay Lohen and her little sister! Its a growing epidemic, i tell ya! I think people just assume.."Oh..if she can sing, than surely her sister can sing too!" Wrong! Oh well...celebrities are kind of sucky these days anyway...whatever happened to the actors/singers who actually had raw talent, and didn't mooch off their silly exploited siblings?

I completely agree. Ashlee Simpson is famous only because of her sister and she's had - what? A TV show, records, a movie, a makeup line, a nose job... Ridiculous.

I know what you mean ... I loathe Jessica Simpson for many reasons and right on the top of the list is cuz of Ashlee... but on the other hand... I love all the Culkin kids ... they are all phenomenal and deserve every good part that comes their way nepotism or not ...

Charlie Sheen got famous because of his Dad, Martin. But Charlie's brother changed his name to Emilio Estevez to do it on his own.
