I don't believe you have lost your ability completely, you just need to find some fresh and natural material. I draw and paint scenery. Go for a nature hike, and take your sketch pad and a few sketching pencils with you. Take in the beauties of nature and enjoy being among the trees and maybe a small pond or lake. Listen to the birds sing and take in some wonderful country air. Before long, you will come up with oodles of things to draw again, not to mention write. There is where your inspirations will take over and you will regain the things you love the most to do!

Good luck and I hope I was some what helpful to you!

I have had the same problems myself. I too love drawing and painting i have these days where i want to do it but then i dont.I really think its more of finding something that just brings the passion back. What helps me is site seeing. I love out door themes. So i will go on a stroll of looking at all out door sites that catch my eye.It helps some.Being relaxed is another thing i 've found that works .The least distraction really puts me in the mood to not won't to fool with any of it.Try looking at whatever it is that really interest you that you draw or paint see if that helps.Doing them and giving them to friends help too. When they brag on the drawings and how much they enjoy it .It pushes you to want to do more.Hope this helps you.

You obviously haven't lost the passion. Your mind just got bored, and now you are ready again. Go buy a sketch book and drawing media, whatever media you like. Pencil, Ink pen, charcoal, pastels. And just take your sketch book with you. You will fill good about your self when you feel like drawing something while you are out on a casual stroll on a nice day and you have a sketch book with you.

As an artist and writer, I went thru a phase of no inspiration. I've heard others with these talents say the same thing. You haven't lost your passion for art/writing...you are merely going thru a phase. Here's what I did to rejuvenate my art/writing....keep a small, blank notebook handy....write your thoughts...sketch whatever you see. Soon, you will recover your passion. It's dormant now, just waiting to spring back into your life. Good luck!

Well, depending on what you enjoy to draw, take a trip, get out and find something, go see thing that you may want to draw.
You are not going to get the creativity flowing if you sit at home.

I've hit the wall with things and I always seem to get myself unstuck but I can't give you a recipe to make the juices begin to flow again. I've read some of the suggestions before mine and they make sense. Sometimes I've found that working with the human form helps, other times simply plugging along till something clicks into place. I've found that at these times its good to have a strong support group of artist friends who will give you an honest opinion, and criticism rather then tell ya what you want to hear. What ever you do, don't quit, don't stop. Keep at it.
