i think the key word was "family" and galveston offers more to families than those other options. corpus is close but no galveston as far as attractions and things for families to do. and padre is just party central and spring break heaven for students that want to get nek'd and drink.

i do beleave both are nice but for nice beaches and good friendly restraunts you should pick South Padre. even the hotels are nice there.
