Bill Gates has recently joined with Warren Buffet. Buffet will give a total of 37 billion dollars to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. He will give 1.5 billion a year. Bill Gates himself will give away 50 billion of his own dollars by the end of his life. Bill, Melinda and Warren want to give this money to toher, less fortunate countries; such as the ones in Africa and India. They also want to wipe out all, or most of the major diseases in the world. TB, HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Malaria, Diabetes etc... this is very good, if you look at it in the right angle. Bill Gates, Melinda gates, and Warren Buffet are changing the world of Philanthropy right in front of our eyes. And they are trying to teach us to give.

Bill Gates does not intend to spend any of the money he has given to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. That is why he has given it to the Foundation.
The Foundation will invest some of the money in order to fund future charitable donations. Past donations included money that funded AIDS/HIV research and the Human Genome Project.

The website is quite clear, and it seems that his Foundation will continue to support other NGOs in the USA. The Foundation (managed by an appointed CEO) also has a specific interest in education, libraries and health. Bill Gates and his wife will simply enjoy the experience of giving and cultural exchange as they go along...

HELLO!!!??? There were MONSTER storms in the Atlantic this year -- Cat 4s and hundreds of miles across. Fortunately for us folks on the east coast, they bounced off into the Atlantic, and here in New York City, only maybe a measly 4 or 5 folks died from the rip currents we got from them, plus just a few million in property damage on Long Island from flooding, beach erosion, and such like. I agree that the folks at the local TV station focus heavily on these monster storms when they are brewing, and I too get kind of sick of it, especially when all we get is a glancing blow. But then, the war in Afghanistan is in Afghanistan, and I keep my eye on it as well, as one never knows when it will be the justification for a Faisal Shazad to build a Times Square bomb, you know? And after all -- I thought the weather news came from the National Weather Service. You're the first guy I ever seen blamed hurricane reporting on the Liberal Media. You got a perspective problem?

The Gates Foundation is one of the busiest charity-supporters in the world. Bill and Melinda consider it their life's purpose to help others with their wealth. Read about them ... they're interesting people whose heads seem to be screwed on pretty straight.

So far so good. For one thing Mr Gates is getting on the sensible side of the issue of birth control and condoms in the developing world. Now we just need someone to give free condoms in the schools so kids don't get unwanted pregnancies and diseases of a sexual nature. Einstein said "the future of medicine is prevention".

Well, if he spends it, it will have to be spent of things that are required to conduct the foundations day to day business..... otherwise, he will be spending his own money on legal fees. You see, there is a difference in his foundations money and his money.
