I'm new to this. And I'm an old lady that doesn't know all the email abbreviations. I also take medications that keeps me from figuring out the simplest of things.What does "lol" mean?
Can any refer me to a site that has other abbreviations for email?

Hi, lol is laughs out loud, which lets you know somebody thinks what you said is funny. Hey, if you are only doing e-mail and not the chat rooms, it really is Ok if you do not know all the abbreviations. I don't know many of them either, just the most common. I usually just write an e-mail like a regular letter. It is Ok to do that. I just wanted to add that so you don't think everyone is using abbreviations. I use the Yahoo.com mail and use the smiley faces a lot though. I really like those, they are just so cute! I use them in instant messages too. When somebody sends me an abbreviation in an instant message I just ask what it means. I hope you have a nice day.
