Paper clips are better, because they will not damage your document, and it makes it easier for you, should the need arise, to separate or make copies of individual papers.

Of course, you would want to use staples to bind a paper if it is to be turned in as an assignment, because there is the possibility that individual pages may get loose and be lost.

Yes, I have had time to think about this and religiously implement it into my paper grouping life. You see, staples can predictably keep the papers together and can easily be removed. Whereas, a paperclip can fall off or accidentally pick up other papers it shouldn't have with it. That, my friend, is why staples are better. ;)

You can buy more office supplies at Staples, than at paper clips.
But seriously. If you are holding paper together temporairly, then paper clips. If you want to permanently hold them together, than use staples. I've known paper clips to rust and leave marks on papers. Staples are more permanent.

Paper clips are not for temporary but more for frequent papers add and remove, while staples are safer in keeping all the papers togather (staples are temporary too since you can remove them, as well as permenant).

To me, I usually use staples for important papers and documents while I use paper clips for handouts and printouts because they look more elegant and authentic... I love paper clips!

depends on what it is, if it is an essay I say staples but if it is a couple of stories, paperclips. staples are more permenant if you dont want to lose any. If you are giving the papers to someone, I would say paperclips then they can staple them if they want to.

Paperclips because they are easier to remove and don't put holes in the paper and they are reusable. Plus, on those really slow days in the office, the large paperclips make excellent mini-catapults to shoot small balls of paper over the cubicle wall at your irritating neighbor.
