There really is no logic, astrology is about as scientific as religion. Though there is a remote possibility that the position of the sun, moon, and planets affect things about our personality and disposition, I have to wonder what astrologists had to say to people whose ruling planet was Neptune before Neptune was actually discovered, y'know?

Astrology is not about LOGIC, infact, Astrology is about MATHEMATICS. There are thousands of calculations to be done to prepare all the charts of a person. Total reading may take 100s of pages. There are many kinds of charts that tells about you, ur family, children, husband, health etc.
I'll give you an example of HOW TO PREPARE YOUR HOROSCOPE : (as per indian vedic astrology) :
You need 3 details : Date Of Birth, Birth time and Birth Place
For e.g D.O.B is 29th AUG 1980, Time : 10:20 a.m, place, Rajkot, Gujarat, india.
Now you need to know the time or Sun rise on that day (29-08-80). It was 6:30. Now, Earth takes 24 hours to make a day and there are 12 zodiac signs , so, 24 divided by 12 is 2. So, add 2 hours into the sun rise time (6:30). So, 6:30 + 2 is 8:30.
10:20 doesnt fall in that time line. So, again add 2 hours into it. 8:30 + 2 is 10:30. 10:20 falls in that category.
now , you also need to know the sign in which Sun is there on that day. It was LEO. Its the 5th sign in zodiacs. now you have all the values :
LEO = 5, you've added 2 hours for 2 times. So, 5+2 is 7. You have your ascendant here. The ascendant of the horoscope is LIBRA (7th zodiac). Now anti-clock wise put the following signs in each houses. and then put the planets accordingly.
I would conclude by saying once again that Astrology is Mathematics and not a bunch of Crap. It takes more that 20 years just to learn 10 % of total indian vedic astrology. Im into astrology since 5 years. And I know Nothing. And I've never charged a single pence for readings.

What you have to understand is that Astrology /is/ adaptable to the extent that it merely suggests influences, patterns and tendencies. We've all hear about the psychology classes where the professor hands out supposed individual charts to each student, and at the end of the class it's revealed that not only does everyone have the same chart. but the chart actually belongs to Adolf Hitler. It's dramatic oversimplication which is impressive only to the extent that it underscores the professors initial intent and takes advantage of the students ignorance of astrology itself.
A good correlation to that would be to hand out weather reports to an entire class for their place of birth and then reveal at the end that they are all for Paris France. Degrees of the equator can be just as similar in weather patterns as the degrees of aspects in astrology, but that proves absolutely nothing at all.
A further note: Jung, often considered another Father of Psychoanalysis not only believed in Astrology, but often refused to treat anyone without first casting a chart. I'll bet the professor conveniently left that out however.
There are a lot of misconceptions about Astrology in general, which I will further elaborate in hopes of bringing you additional clarity of it as a discipline.
Newspaper Horoscopes are essentially worthless and too vague to ever be of much good at all. A horoscope is based on your Sun sign alone. This is akin to reading a weather report for your state - it's fairly uselss in the big picture. If you want a complete picture of your astrological profile, you'll need to go to a free site such as Astro.com, StarIQ.com, etc and calculate your chart. You'll need to know your birthdate, birthplace and exact time of birth in order to get an accurate chart.
Where your Sun is reveals how you view the world. Your moon reveals things of an emotional nature and your ascendant - how the world sees you (in a nutshell). The other planets are equally important - but those three will give you a good picture of things in general.
Compatibility is again, dependent on a lot more than whether your Sun signs are complementary. That's almost like saying 'I'm a 28 year old man and she's a 35 year old woman. Will we get along?" Typically, astrologers look for composites in your chart to make the kinds of determiinations that reveal compatibility and where a couple might have issues. Even then, sexual chemistry can be so strong (or other aspects certainly) that it overshadows any negative aspects completely.
There are several excellent resouces from a clinical and reasonable perspective (including a lot of Jungs works) that will demonstrate that astrology is /at least/ as effective in revealing a persons character and influences as psychology is. The thing you have to keep in mind is that it is a discipline that is interpretive, much like the weather, and therefore there is a tendency to dismiss it as less than effective.
Celestially,

Ok here we go. There really isn't any logic behind it. It's just psychology. It make you think. But I do believe under what star we are born under it does seem to effect how we are and act. Like when a full moon is out and everyone starts acting all crazy. Not many people know when it's a full moon but yet they still act out of order. Most religious people don't believe in it because you are looking at some ficticious thing for your future when you should pray and ask God about it. I believe that, Not to make it your life and to base all your decisions around what a horoscope says. But I do believe about what star you're born under. So don't think somethings going to happen to you just cause some made up thing says so. Trust your heart. Because like you said Virgos are supposed to be organized and you said you were messy. I'm a scorpio and not everything it says am I but most of it is true. But it still could all just be in my mind.

I think there is no logic but we people are always afraid of the future more about love stuffs, reading horoscopes we can pretend that we know more then we can keep everything under control easier.
It's pretty weird but sometimes I'm influenced by that even when I know it's not true.

I find that Horoscopes aren't just for "fun". Back in Asia, Horoscopes told tales and traits about a person. Sometimes I get stunned too. It says Taurus women are mostly plump, but I am skinny. Some things that they write that occurs to be you, but some may not. It really all depends. i'm sure that not one person in the world has ALL the traits and stuff listen in their horoscope, you have a few of them.
Good lcuK!

I WAS ONCE SO INTO HOROSCOPES that I wouldn't even consider a boy unless he was COMPATIBLE WITH MY SIGN. The problem with that is, There's more than just your "sun" sign. There's your moon sign, your rising sign, your venus sign... Also, some people are meant to be in your life no matter what sign they are. People are not just their signs, there's so much more you have to look at. Although I believe to a certain extent sign compatibility is true, common sense is also useful in determining your life and the people in it.

Don't believe in it! It is considered witchcraft and anyone with witchcraft will not inherit the kingdom of god and get eternal life. Revelation Something "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life he was thrown into the lake of fire." You wouldn't want to go to hell now would you?
