Musharraf is an Ally and you compare apples to oranges. Saddam on the otherhand was used to offset the Iranian treat and the war became a stalemate. The Border did not change. Bill Clinton embargoed purchaced F-16's after the Pakistani's tested their Bomb. I could explain more but I don't think you could grasp all the other concepts.

Because our government does not seem to learn from past mistakes and is blinded by the any chance to make a lot of cash consequence be damned

The US foreign policy is screwed up...We make allys and then we make war against them when their ideals/governments turn against us. FYI F-16s aren't the latest and greatest of our arsenal...they're just the most numerous.

Its payback time. The government is very unpopular due to extremist propaganda. Those F-16's will be flown to support our interests. If not we can easily take them out.
