Snow. Just so nice looking, so many things to do, and even if your cold, whats better then snuggling with one you love under a blanket sipping hot chocolate? The sun has its benefits, but all to often it is just too hot to do anything, and if you do go out, you just want to collapse when you get in. Last thing you want is someone touching you. So, give me snow.

As I was looking in the "London" section, and I live there, it has to be snow! A couple of years ago we had a day of snowfall, and the pictures in the paper were headed under "Fairytale" scenes - the snow had turned the city into a place of magic. I live in a residential area, where the five-storey Victorian houses rise tall and pale, in wide avenues with old-fashioned lamps, and walking along those road is quite enchanting. There is a special kind of silence as the snowflakes kiss your face. And there is nothing lovelier than coming home to something delicious simmering on the hob... and snuggling into the duvet with a good book and at least one cat...
At the moment, we're having a heatwave, and I can't breathe or move. The buses have no air, the shops don't have much in the way of air-conditioning, and I never travel by tube. There are too many crowds, too much pollution and noise, and I hate it.
The only downside with the snow is that we British can't cope with it regarding transport and gritting. "Wrong kind of snow" on the tracks (if it isn't leaves, etc), and they don't grit pavements or crossings. Other than that, walk slowly and enjoy the magic of the all-too-rare snow!

Even though I have boiled near to death today, it has to be the sun. I can't stand the snow or rather British snow as it's slushy slippery and I always fall over, embarrass and hurt my-self whilst my husband and kids look on laughing. No, I would rather burn thanks.

Snowfall is beautiful and it covers up all that is ugly, for awhile.
Even more beautiful is winter sunshine.....with snow on the ground is just extra sweet.

I think the answer to that really depends on what mood I'm in, or what season. It feels to me that whenever it is winter I want it to be summer and in summer I miss the frosty air!
